FLEXIMATE GEL (Gel)

FLEXIMATE GEL is a high-potency gel formulation containing Diclofenac Diethylamine 1.16%W/W + Methyl Salicylate 10.0%W/W+ Linseed Oil 3.0%W/W+ Menthol5.0%W/W + Benzyl Alcohol1.0% W/W Gel base q.s.

Composition: Diclofenac Diethylamine 1.16% w/w + Methyl Salicylate 10% w/w + Linseed Oil 3% w/w + Menthol 5% w/w + Benzyl Alcohol 1% w/w

Clinical Pharmacology

Diclofenac provides topical NSAID-mediated anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. Menthol and methyl salicylate provide counter-irritant and analgesic effects. Linseed oil provides a supportive topical component.

Indications & Usage

For topical symptomatic relief of:

• Localized musculoskeletal pain
• Osteoarthritis-associated pain
• Sprains and strains
• Sports injuries
• Tendon and ligament pain
• Muscle aches
• Soft-tissue inflammatory pain
• Localized joint pain

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or formulation components. Do not apply to broken skin.

Warnings & Precautions

For external use only. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and occlusive dressings unless directed. Discontinue if severe skin irritation develops.

Drug Interactions

Systemic interactions are less likely than with oral NSAIDs but caution is required with concurrent NSAID therapy.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoid use during the third trimester. Consult a physician during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage & Administration

Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed and gently massage into the skin.

Adverse Reactions

Local irritation, redness, itching, dermatitis or photosensitivity may occur.
