ACEWICK-AC (Tablet)

ACEWICK-AC is a high-potency tablet formulation containing Acebrophylline 100 mg + Acetylcysteine 600 mg.

Clinical Pharmacology

Acebrophylline provides bronchodilator and mucoregulatory activity. Acetylcysteine reduces mucus viscosity by disrupting disulfide bonds in mucoproteins and provides mucolytic activity.

Indications & Usage

May be used as an adjunct in:

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
• Chronic bronchitis
• Bronchial asthma with mucus hypersecretion
• Productive cough associated with excessive or viscous sputum
• Chronic airway disorders with impaired mucus clearance

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to either component.

Warnings & Precautions

Caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease, asthma with significant bronchospasm and hepatic/renal impairment.

Drug Interactions

Caution with antitussives when mucus clearance is important. Other bronchodilator medicines should be used according to medical advice.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Use only when medically indicated.

Dosage & Administration

As prescribed, preferably with adequate fluid intake.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, headache and gastrointestinal symptoms.
